The winery Gantenbein is situated on the edge of Fläsch in the Graubünden Rhine Valley in Switzerland. Martha and Daniel Gantenbein have been producing wine there since 1982.
The winery cultivates around 6.3 hectares of vines. Of this, around 5.1 hectares are planted with Pinot Noir, 1.0 hectares with Chardonnay and 0.2 hectares with Riesling. Pinot Noir is the most important grape variety. In the vineyards, Burgundy clones have been planted, including selected low-yield clones. Farming practices include reduced yields and selective picking.
The cellar is designed for the gravity-fed transport of grapes and must, so pumps are dispensed with. The wines are not filtered and mature in barriques.
Under the name Gantenbein, one Pinot Noir, one Chardonnay and one Riesling are produced.
