Oberhausen is a municipality directly on the Nahe. The settlement lies at the foot of the Lemberg. A historic building in the town is a bridge dating from 1889.

Weingut Dönnhoff

The Dönnhoff family Dönnhoff is, according to its own information, established in Oberhausen for more than 250 years. The winery cultivates 25 hectares of vineyard area and has been a member of the VDP since 1991. The planting consists of 80 per cent Riesling and 20 per cent Grauburgunder and Weißburgunder.

The geological materials associated with the vineyards include volcanic rock, slate and sandstone. The focus is on Riesling; clear, complex, long-lasting, mineral and finely structured wines are the aim. Dönnhoff is also documented as a producer of sparkling wine.
