The single-vineyard site Bräunersberg is assigned to Ottersheim. It is located in the wine-growing region Pfalz, in the area of Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße, and belongs to the Großlage Schnepfenflug from the Zellertal.
Legal framework for wine
For wines from the specified production area, the protected designation of origin “Pfalz” applies. The designation covers wine, quality sparkling wine and quality sparkling wine with low carbon dioxide pressure. The name Bräunersberg may be used for Pfalz wines if the site is entered in the vineyards register and at least 85 percent of the product consists of specified grape varieties.
The Pfalz specification provides for white, red and rosé wines. Redling is produced in limited quantities; in addition, Prädikatswein, quality sparkling wine and quality sparkling wine with low carbon dioxide pressure are permitted.
